So far the best Shanghai restaurant i ever tried around whole SF area! The crab yolk dishes are amazing and fresh and the soup is so good. My friend especially love the rice cake mochi dishes. We ordered three and later added one to take home. Definitely a solide five star. Will come back again soon!

Visited I Shanghai Delight in Fremont yesterday and had a very satisfying meal. The crab roe noodles were excellent. The noodles and crab roe sauce are served separately so you can mix them yourself. The sauce had plenty of real crab roe and coated every strand of noodle. Rich, flavorful, and very filling — best to share with 2–3 people. Our favorite dish was the giant crab roe soup dumplings. Each dumpling is bigger than your palm and filled with a lot of delicious crab roe soup. You drink the soup with a straw first, then eat the dumpling. Super fun and very tasty. About $15 for two and definitely worth it. We also ordered scallion oil noodles, which were surprisingly one of the best I’ve had — very chewy and flavorful. The Shanghai-style shrimp were lightly crispy with a slightly sweet sauce, another solid dish. The restaurant has a nice old Shanghai atmosphere, and they were even playing a Shanghai documentary on the TV, which was fun to watch. Overall about $25 per person and we left very happy. Would definitely come back! ⭐ Highly recommend trying the crab roe dishes if you visit.

The food at IShanghai Delight is super delicious. We ordered Pan Fried Pork Bun, Fried Scallion Pancake, Sweet Soybean Milk and Fried Noodles Shanghai Style. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The pork buns were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, the scallion pancake was nicely fried and fragrant, and the fried noodles had a great authentic Shanghai taste. The sweet soybean milk was a perfect drink to go with the meal. Overall, a great place to enjoy authentic Shanghainese food. I will definitely come back again

Great food and a really nice dining experience! We ordered the braised pork with quail eggs and the soup dumplings, and both were delicious. The braised pork was very tender and flavorful, and the quail eggs soaked up the sauce perfectly. The soup dumplings had thin wrappers and lots of soup inside—very juicy and tasty. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. Definitely a place I would come back to!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Fremont Ala Shanghai! We ordered the wok-fried green cabbage, shredded pork and vegetables rice soup, pan-fried dumplings, and the seasonal crab roe soup dumplings — and every dish tasted authentically prepared and full of flavor. The highlight for me was definitely the crab roe soup dumplings. They were generously filled with roe, and the broth inside was rich and wonderfully warming — perfect comfort food. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and there’s plenty of parking, which makes visiting super convenient. There was only one waitress on the floor, and she seemed quite overworked, but she maintained such a positive spirit and was attentive whenever we called on her. Overall, a satisfying and authentic meal — I’ll definitely be back!
